Grandy first visits the Fate Bell Cave pictographs at the Amistad Reservoir near the Rio Grande River in Texas. He also visits and interviews Richard Koch, a water chemist at the Carrollton Water Treatment Plant in New Orleans, and Kristie Pellerin, a rice farmer in Louisiana.
