This episode of the series “En Francais” from April 18, 1982, features James Fontenot’s interview with 9-year-old Phillip Comeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana, and his 87-year-old great-grandfather Theophile Comeaux, who is teaching him to speak French. Fontenot also interviews Earl Comeaux of Kaplan, Louisiana, an educator and the co-author of a Cajun comic strip called “Bec Doux”. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
