This episode of the series “En Francais” from November 7, 1982, features James Fontenot’s interview with Sam Broussard of New Iberia, Louisiana. Broussard served in the Louisiana State Senate from 1960-1968. He discusses his service in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II, including his work with the French Resistance and sitting in on General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s top-secret briefing on the plans to invade Normandy on D-Day. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
