This episode of the series “En Francais” from November 21, 1982, features James Fontenot’s interview with Mr. and Mrs. Tertule Bourque of Forked Island, Louisiana. They also perform three Cajun songs with Mrs. Bourque singing and playing the accordion and Mr. Bourque playing the tee fer. Fontenot also conducts an in-studio interview with Jeanne Castille of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Marc Boucher of the Quebec Delegation in Lafayette, Louisiana. They discuss the differences between the Thanksgiving celebrations in Louisiana and Quebec, Canada. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
