This episode of the series “En Francais” from November 28, 1982, features James Fontenot’s interview with Phoebe Trotter and Richard Guidry of Le Theatre Cadien, a local theater group in Lafayette, Louisiana, that produces and performs original plays in the Cajun French dialect. Fontenot then presents Le Theatre Cadien’s performance of the play “La Table des Veuves.” The play features a story about Cajuns out on the town on a Saturday night.
