This episode of the series “En Francais” from February 20, 1983, features the first part of “La Cheniere Au Tigre,” a documentary about a small island off the coast of Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, that was devastated by hurricanes. It includes interviews with: Andrew Jackson Sagrera, Joseph “Boulet” Broussard, Dr. Walter Sagrera, J. Oreo White, and Dora Choates Veazey. James Fontenot then interviews Kerry Boutte, the owner of Mulate’s Restaurant in Breaux Bridge. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
