Description

This episode of the series “En Francais” from April 29, 1984, features the first part of Amanda LaFleur’s profile of Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. She first visits the home of Jack Miller’s Barbeque Sauce in Ville Platte. She interviews Jack Miller, who discusses the history of his barbeque sauce and the process for making it. LaFleur then visits the Evangeline Parish Courthouse in Ville Platte and interviews Clerk of Court Walter Lee. He discusses his love of playing Cajun music. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
