This episode of the series “En Francais” from February 10, 1985, features Amanda LaFleur’s profile of East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. She first tours Magnolia Mound Plantation. LaFleur then interviews Darrel Ledet of the Baton Rouge Visitors and Convention Bureau, who discusses the work of the BRVCB, the Baton Rouge Bastille Day event, and the history of the Old State Capitol. Next, she interviews Dr. Kay Martin of LSU, who discusses the French elements of the State Capitol in Baton Rouge. Lastly, James Fontenot visits the Ascension Heritage Museum in Donaldsonville and interviews Frances Morrison. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
