Description
This “Louisiana Book Talk” from the Louisiana Book Festival in Baton Rouge on October 4, 2008, features William Joyce, the recipient of the 2008 Louisiana Writers Award. Joyce is a children’s book author from Shreveport, Louisiana, whose most notably written Rolli Polli Olli, Dinosaur Bob and His Adventures with the Family Lazardo, The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs, George Shrinks, and A Day with Wilbur Robinson. Many of his books have been made into television shows and feature films. Joyce speaks on what inspired him to become an author and illustrator from a young age, and his formative experience from his elementary school and high school years. This program was preserved through a 2022-2023 Public Broadcasting Preservation Fellowship.
