Description
Charlie Whinham and Shauna Sanford host live coverage of the memorial service for former Governor Dave Treen at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge on November 2, 2009. The service includes eulogies by Governor Bobby Jindal, Judge Jay Zainey, Reverend Byron Clay of the Calvary Baptist Church in Metairie, Jason Stewart Neville (his grandson), David C. Treen, Jr. (his son), and Reverend James Mitchell of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Mandeville. The service also includes the reading of Bible passages by his grandchildren and performances of “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” Following the service, LPB President Beth Courtney joins Whinham and Sanford to share her memories of Governor Treen.
