This episode of the series “Louisiana’s Experience: World War II” from September 13, 2007, features interviews with World War II veterans from Louisiana. These interviewees include: Louis Frey, Lucien Laborde, Tom McCann, Harvey Koenig, Bruce Authement, and Eugene Authement on their experiences during D-Day in Normandy, France; Major General Ansel Stroud on the Louisiana Maneuvers of 1940-1941; Allen Barham on his experiences during D-Day and the Siege of Bastogne; Frank Walk on his experience as the only traffic control officer on Omaha Beach during D-Day; and Harry McCauley, Menard Brouillette, Alton Lanclos, Phillip Wade, Allen Fontenot, and Frank Thompson on their experiences during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
