Morial is an educator, activist, community leader, and the former First Lady of New Orleans. She discusses: writing her new book, “Witness to Change: From Jim Crow to Political Empowerment”; growing up during segregation; attending Boston University; her friendships with leaders in the Civil Rights movement, including Andrew Young and Martin Luther King, Jr.; her first date with her husband Ernest “Dutch” Morial; her role in his campaigns; and learning more about her family roots.
