Dr. Keller is the director of the Institute for Dementia Research and Prevention at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge. He discusses: Alzheimer’s disease; the demographic changes that will dramatically affect Alzheimer’s over the next 30 years; the lack of effective treatments for the disease; and the research currently underway at Pennington. He also answers questions from the audience concerning genetic factors and the characteristics that distinguish Alzheimer’s from other forms of dementia.
