He first provides an overview of the major candidates in the elections for United States Senator and the eight Congressional districts. Next, Lynda Roedts reports on the constitutional amendments on the ballot, including the creation of an educational trust fund using 8g funds and an increase in the license tag fee. She interviews: Winston Day of the Coalition for a Better Louisiana; United States Senator J. Bennett Johnston; and Lieutenant Michael Roop of the Louisiana State Police. Lastly, Hinton conducts an in-studio interview with John Hill of the Gannett News Service and C.J. Blache, political consultant. They discuss: the constitutional amendments; the Senate race between Congressman Henson Moore and Congressman John Breaux; and the Congressional races.
