This program also includes live coverage of the LETA dedication in the House of Representatives at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge, including speeches by: LETA Chairman Ed Pendergast; Superintendent of Education Louis Michot; William S. Hart, the president and general manager of WYES in New Orleans; Alfred Brown, Jr., the chairman of the WYES Board of Trustees; Lieutenant Governor Jimmy Fitzmorris; and Beth Fetty, the widow of Max Fetty, who served as the first chairman of LETA.
