This episode of the series “Louisiana Public Square” from November 25, 2009, features a discussion between the panelists and audience members on the growth of high technology industries in the state. The panelists are: Curt Eysink, the Executive Director of the Louisiana Workforce Commission; Jacqueline Beauchamp, the CEO and co-founder of Nergyzed Entertainment in Baton Rouge; Dr. Anthony Greco, Professor of Economics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; and Jim Clinton, the CEO of Cenla Advantage Partnership. They discussed: the need for more technology in education; building our technology infrastructure; developing a skilled work force to meet the needs of business and industry; creating a business climate conducive to growth; developing public-private partnerships; bridging the digital divide; business incubators; and involving local companies in education.
