Description
This episode of the series “Louisiana Public Square” from November 21, 2018, features Andre Moreau leading a discussion between the audience members and panelists on Louisiana’s college admissions standards, including Louisiana State University’s new holistic admissions policy. A background report on the topic precedes the discussion. It includes interviews with: Dana Schlotterer, the assistant principal at the Runnels School in Baton Rouge; Dr. James Wharton, former LSU chancellor; Dr. Jeannine Kahn, the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the University of Louisiana System; Patrick Gagen, an LSU student and columnist for the Daily Reveille newspaper; and Ronnie Anderson, a member of the LSU Board of Supervisors. The audience members then share their views on the state’s college admissions standards. A panel of experts then joins the audience to answer their questions.
