This episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” from April 16, 1982, features a special report on the state of agriculture in Louisiana.  This report focuses on the economic difficulties facing farmers in Louisiana due to a two-year drought, low crop yields, depressed food prices and high interest rates on farm equipment.  It also touches on the growing concerns over the increased number of farm failures, which could reach the highest level since the Great Depression.  It includes an interview with Commissioner of Agriculture Bob Odom.
