Description
This segment from the April 30, 1982, episode of “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features a report on State Representative V.J. Bella’s bill that will reform the deferred compensation program for state employees. Bella’s bill creates a 7-member commission that will be responsible for selecting a new program administrator and monitoring the administrator’s operation of the investment fund. The previous program administrator, the Deferred Compensation Corporation of Louisiana (DCCL), is being investigated by a federal grand jury for alleged mismanagement of the funds contributed by state employees.
