Ekings reports that Snyder temporarily transferred his power to the City Council President for 72 hours. She interviews: Janet Price, a mayoral aide, on Snyder conducting business from home for the past month due to illness; City Council Member Jay Bolen on receiving phone calls from concerned constituents; Jim Leggett, a local newspaper reporter, on Snyder’s previous absences from work and whether the city can function without a mayor; and Errol Dorsey, the City Council President, on the need to have a mayor to run city government. Ekings also interviews Alexandria residents, who discuss their view of Mayor Snyder’s job performance.
