Description
This segment from the January 4, 1985, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Robyn Ekings’ report on LSU honoring the “Reveille Seven,” seven journalism students and staff members on the Daily Reveille newspaper who were expelled in 1934 for printing a letter critical of United States Senator Huey P. Long. Ekings reports that the Reveille Seven refused to allow Senator Long’s subsequent efforts to censor the student newspaper.
