This segment from the February 28, 1992, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Jeff Duhe’s report on the 1992-1993 state budget proposal presented to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget by the Edwards’ Administration. His report includes interviews with: State Representative Francis Thompson; State Representative James David Cain; John Rombach of the Legislative Fiscal Office; State Senator B.B. “Sixty” Rayburn; Commissioner of Administration Raymond Laborde; and Governor Edwin Edwards. Robert Collins also conducts an in-studio interview with Steve Winham, the director of the Governor’s Budget Office, and Commissioner of Administration Raymond Laborde. They discuss the budget cuts needed in the current state budget and the state budget proposal for 1992-1993.
