This segment from the May 28, 1993, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Jeff Duhe’s report on a hurricane preparedness drill held by emergency planners in south Louisiana. He reports that Hurricane Ansel was a Category 4 that hit New Orleans directly. He visits the command centers at the National Weather Service in Slidell, the state disaster command post in Baton Rouge, City Hall in New Orleans, and the Louisiana National Guard’s emergency operations center in New Orleans.
