Description
This segment from the February 3, 1995, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Arcie Chapa’s report on the riverboat casinos in Louisiana not sailing everyday as required by state law. Chapa reports that there is confusion over which agency should enforce the law. She interviews New Orleans District Attorney Harry Connick, Sr. and Raymond Scully, the captain of the Star Casino in New Orleans. Host Robert Collins then conducts an in-studio interview with East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Doug Moreau. He discusses the requirements of the riverboat gambling law.
