This segment from the June 2, 1995, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features the second part of Arcie Chapa’s report on the 50 million waste tire backlog in Louisiana. It focuses on whether the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has shown favoritism to a tire processing plant owned by Max Merrick in Cottonport.
