This segment from the October 31, 2008, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Shauna Sanford’s interviews with voters at the State Archives in Baton Rouge and the Department of Motor Vehicles in Baker about their experiences with early voting for the 2008 presidential election. Sanford also interviews Secretary of State Jay Dardenne about the high voter turnout for early voting, the lack of problems with the voting machines, and the process for provisional balloting if a voter experiences registration issues at the polls.
