Description
This segment from the March 26, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s report on Quad Vets, a program in Tangipahoa Parish that helps homeless veterans from around the state to regain control of their lives. Whinham interviews veterans Richard Howitz, Robert Gabriel, and Colin Cook, who discuss the help they received from Quad Vets and their work in helping other veterans through the program. He also interviews Wallace Sibley of the Quad Area Community Action Agency, Todd Doctor, the Quad Vets Program Director, and Stephanie Schulte, the Quad Vets employment developer, who discuss the unexpected price increases incurred during the construction of their new facility and their hope that they can raise $60,000 from community donations to cover these unexpected costs.
