Description
This segment from the July 16, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features producer Allegra Nevils Yancey’s visit to the Vivian Alexander exhibit of Faberge-style Eggs at the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge. During her visit, Yancey interviews: Secretary of State Jay Dardenne; Todd Cutrer, a Louisiana businessman who lent items from his Vivian Alexander collection for the exhibit; Alexander Caldwell, the CEO of Vivian Alexander and creator of the eggs; Betty Heflin, a visitor to the exhibit; and Laura Labatut, a participant in an egg making class at the State Archives. Host Charlie Whinham reports that the headquarters of Vivian Alexander is in Maurice, Louisiana.
