Description
This segment from the December 3, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s visit to see the half a million Christmas lights on display at Acadian Village in Lafayette. He interviews Deborah Pierce, the Associate Director of Acadian Village, and Susan Nini, the LARC director of community relations, about the annual event and its support of the Lafayette Association of Retarded Citizens (LARC). He also talks to visitors Erin Romero, Blake Romero, and Abigail Primeaux about their experience at Acadian Village. Lastly, Whinham talks to volunteer Carrol Guilbeaux about the responsibility of maintaining half a million Christmas lights. This story is a part of the "Louisiana Christmas Journey" series.
