Description
This segment from the December 10, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s visit to the Christmas celebrations at the LSU Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge. Whinham interviews David Floyd, the museum director, who discusses the different Christmas traditions in north and south Louisiana in the 19th century and the hands-on activities available to visitors. He also meets with Dr. Trenton James II, a museum docent, as he shows off the “Sick House” to a group of visitors. This story is a part of the "Louisiana Christmas Journey" series.
