Rogers Pope on the driver’s education bill; Commissioner of Higher Education Jim Purcell testifying before the House Education Committee on the proposed merger of the University of New Orleans and Southern University in New Orleans; and State Representative Pat Smith questioning Purcell on why a report prepared by the Southern University System on avoiding the merger of historically black colleges and universities was not taken into consideration.
