Description
This segment from the February 1, 2013, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Shauna Sanford’s visit to New Orleans as the city prepares to host Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013. Sanford talks to fans on the street about their experience in the week leading up to the big game. She also speaks to Kelly Schulz of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau and Jay Cicero of the Super Bowl Host Committee about the city’s preparations for hosting the Super Bowl. Lastly, she talks to New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu about the economic impact of the Super Bowl on both New Orleans and Louisiana and the recovery of the city following Hurricane Katrina and the 2010 BP Oil Spill.
