This segment from the February 15, 2013, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Sue Lincoln’s report on the growing lack of diversity in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in the ten years since the settlement of the parish’s school desegregation case. Lincoln reports that East Baton Rouge Parish now consists of six separate school districts and that there is a proposal to create a seventh school district in southeast Baton Rouge. Lincoln interviews: State Senator Bodi White; Roena Wilford, a plaintiff in the desegregation lawsuit; and Adam Knapp, the president of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
