This segment from the December 12, 2014, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s visit to Natchitoches as the city prepares for the 88th annual Christmas Festival of Lights. Whinham meets with Charles Brossette, the lighting supervisor, who discusses the three-month process of putting up 300,000 Christmas lights. He also meets with Sandra Dickens, the owner of Dickens & Co., who tells him about the importance of the festival to Natchitoches.
