This segment from the January 22, 2016, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s photography field trip with world renowned nature photographer C.C. Lockwood in the Atchafalaya Basin. Whinham and Lockwood photograph water hyacinth, a great horned owl, and the sunset near Flat Lake. Lockwood also discusses his photograph of a Flat Lake sunset that was selected as a postage stamp in 2012 and his journey in photographing all of the Nature Conservancy properties around the state for his latest book, “Louisiana Wild.” Hosts: Charlie Whinham and Shauna Sanford
