She discusses: her career in the U.S. Army; her deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Djibouti following the September 11th terrorist attacks; her retirement in 2010; being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); her family’s difficulty in dealing with the diagnosis; and her involvement with veterans’ groups.
