This segment from the February 19, 2021, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Kara St. Cyr’s report on the history and significance of Black gospel music in the African American churches in Louisiana. She interviews: Reverend Sterling Wright, a singer with the Legendary Lighthouse Gospel Singers; Gerard Robinson, the manager of the Legendary Lighthouse Gospel Singers; and Natorshau Davis, a vocal music professor at Grambling State University.
