This segment from the July 7, 2023, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Chris Lecoq’s report on Theophile’s Reef, a new artificial reef built in Hackberry Bay in honor of the late Theophile Bourgeois III, a conservationist and the owner of Bourgeois Fishing Charters in Lafitte, Louisiana, who died in a plane crash in 2019. His report also touches on Lafitte’s recovery from Hurricane Ida in 2021.
