An oral history interview conducted on August 8, 2017, at the Vietnam Veterans of America Conference in New Orleans, with Perry Lopez of Jennings, Louisiana. Lopez served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He discusses: his training at Fort Polk, Louisiana; his role as a heavy equipment operator on four major operations in Vietnam; his worst experience of the war; selling Tabasco Sauce to his fellow soldiers; living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); and his medical problems due to Agent Orange exposure.
