An oral history interview conducted on August 10, 2017, at the Vietnam Veterans of America Conference in New Orleans, with Willie Seibert of New Baden, Illinois. Seibert served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He discusses: his Vietnam orientation training at Fort Polk, Louisiana; his different roles in Vietnam; being stationed in the jungle for the majority of his tour; his memorable first night in the jungle; why November 23, 1967, was the worst day of the war for him; the camaraderie with his fellow soldiers; returning home; the changing attitudes towards Vietnam veterans; and his medical problems due to Agent Orange exposure.
