Dirks’ husband and brother are both veterans of the Vietnam War. She discusses: her brother’s role in flying over Vietnam with Agent Orange; her brother not receiving benefits since he was not considered boots on the ground; her brother’s issues with skin cancer due to Agent Orange; her husband’s multiple cancer battles due to Agent Orange exposure; his difficulty in receiving help from the VA; and the pain of the Vietnam veterans.
