An oral history interview conducted on September 20, 2017, with Bradley Pierron of Houma, Louisiana. Pierron served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He discusses: joining the Navy; his training; his assignment as a Hospital Corpsmen with the Fleet Marine Force; working in the sick bay; his admiration for the Vietnamese refugees who made new lives in the United States; the 3rd Marine Division’s role in the evacuation of Phnom Penh, Cambodia; his time in the Philippines; the death of the chaplain’s assistant; and his interactions with the Vietnamese refugees.
