An oral history interview conducted on November 8, 2007, with Paul Yoder Burns, a weather officer for the 370th Fighter Group of the Army Air Corps during World War II. He discusses: his training and deployment to an air base in England; his role in forecasting the weather and presenting the data to the pilots before all of their dive bombing missions; his experience of a German bomb attack near his base; his fighter group’s move to France 45 days after D-Day; the Germans fighting near his air base in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge; his experience of V-E Day in Germany; his discharge from the service; and his career after the war.
