An oral history interview conducted on October 16, 2007, with Roane E. Hathorn, a member of the 35th Regiment of the 25th Division of the 4th Army during World War II. He discusses: serving in the Philippines; being taken off the front lines as an 18-year-old because of an Executive Order passed by President Harry S. Truman; his best and worst memories of the war; and the senselessness of war.
