Description
This segment from the 1996 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Christian Whitton, a student at Lenwil Elementary School in West Monroe. Whitton is an outstanding student, athlete and leader at his school. When a house fire near his school killed two people, Whitton spent his prize money for selling the most candy at his school to buy smoke alarms for his teammates on the football team.
