This segment from the 1998 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Patrick Ford, a junior at Wossman High School in Monroe. Ford is an honor student who is very active in his church and community. Last spring, Ford put all of his activities on hold to form a baseball team at a local elementary school. In addition to coaching the team, he helped raise funds, provided transportation and refreshments and tutored his players. He is the first youth to be inducted into the North Delta Afro Hall of Fame.
