Description
This segment from the 2006 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Charles Boss II, a senior at Peabody Magnet High School in Alexandria. Boss has overcome the removal of two brain tumors as a child that doctors feared would impair his ability to learn. He maintains a 4.0 grade point average in the medical magnet curriculum and was a winner of the USAA National Mathematics Award. He is also a tutor at the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and volunteers with the Red Cross, Food Bank, Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, and the Manna House. Hosts: Brittany Parker and Beth Courtney
