This segment from the 2010 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Sean Nathan, a freshman at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport. At age eleven, Nathan and his younger brother Neil started throwing birthday parties for the homeless children at the Providence House in Shreveport. They raise money for the parties and presents by performing at events on the violin and cello, respectively. Nathan is also an honor roll student and has performed with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans. In 2009, Nathan was named one of America’s Top Ten Youth Volunteers and received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
