This segment from the 2010 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Hien Nguyen, a senior at Belle Chasse High School. Nguyen has overcome several obstacles in her life, including homelessness, cancer, and the destruction of her home during Hurricane Katrina. She is in the top five of her class, a member of the Beta Club, and a Peer Support Leader. She also works a part-time job to help support her family.
