Description
This segment from the 2011 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Samuel Cooper, a senior at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport. Cooper was born with Cerebral Palsy. After using a wheelchair for five years, Cooper decided to go through the difficult process of learning how to walk without the aid of a wheelchair or walker. In addition to serving as a member of the Evangel Student Leadership Team, Cooper has also participated in fundraising walks for Race for the Cure, Discover the Piece (autism), and the Hustle for Health.
